# FAQ

Estimates only. Not a quote, not a customs ruling, and not an offer to sell or ship. Confirm fees, prohibitions, and duty with the proxy and with destination customs. Figures can change after the last-verified date.

## Do you sell the items?

No. JapanLanded does not hold stock, take payment, or ship parcels. You order on the proxy's site.

## Is the total guaranteed?

No. Every response says the figures are estimates. Missing fees stay blank instead of being guessed.

## Why is there no cheapest proxy?

Domestic postage, payment fees, and the proxies' own international rates are missing or ranged. Naming a winner would invent a number. Transit times are not stored either, so there is no fastest proxy.

## Why might EMS be missing or struck out?

The path is blocked for spare lithium batteries, for the 17 destinations on the 2024-08-30 Japan Post change list, for alcohol the copied Buyee or Tenso tables refuse, and for spirits above 24% ABV where DHL is also refused. Air, SAL, and surface small packet stop at 2 kg. Air, SAL, and surface parcels stop at 30 kg. DHL has no stored rate.

## What happened to the US $800 exemption?

It was suspended worldwide on 29 August 2025. Mail has a further indefinite suspension from 24 July 2026. We still do not compute the duty.

## Can an agent call this?

Not yet. The estimator on this site runs in the browser and does not call a server. The HTTP API and MCP are coming soon. /llms.txt and the OpenAPI file describe the plan.
